Botox & Dysport in Buckhead, Atlanta
Administered by Kayla Walker, PA-C, Board-Certified Physician Assistant and Lead Clinician at Skinship Aesthetics.
Smooth Fine Lines Without Looking Frozen
Botox and Dysport can help soften lines caused by repeated facial movement while preserving natural expression. The goal at Skinship is not to erase your personality from your face. It is to create a refreshed, well-rested look that still moves naturally.
Kayla Walker, PA-C evaluates how your muscles move before recommending dosage and placement. This allows your treatment to be precise, subtle, and tailored instead of one-size-fits-all.
At Skinship Atlanta, we’re all about a natural, refreshed look!
Botox and Dysport are injectable neuromodulators used to smooth and prevent wrinkles by temporarily relaxing specific muscles in the face. These muscles are responsible for creating the expressions that can lead to wrinkles over time, like frowning or squinting. Botox and Dysport can also be used to weaken especially strong muscles like those in the mouth and jaw, which can cause a gummy smile, wide jaw, TMJ, and neck pain. Treating areas that naturally pull down over time, like in the neck and jawline, creates a nice, natural lift and contour.
Botox vs. Dysport:
Which Wrinkle Relaxer Is Right for You?
Botox and Dysport are both neuromodulators that temporarily relax targeted facial muscles. They are commonly used for forehead lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, brow lifting, facial slimming, and other aesthetic concerns.
The right option depends on your treatment area, previous experience with wrinkle relaxers, muscle strength, and desired result. During your appointment, Kayla will help determine whether Botox, Dysport, or a combination approach makes the most sense.
What Botox and Dysport Can Treat
Botox and Dysport can be used to improve several common cosmetic concerns, including forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, crow’s feet, bunny lines, chin dimpling, lip flip, neck bands, and masseter slimming.
They may also be used preventatively for patients who are beginning to notice early expression lines and want to slow the progression of deeper creasing.

What to know before your Botox or Dysport appointment
Pre and Post Care
-
Plan ahead - Book at least 2 weeks before any special event, photoshoot, or presentation. This gives time for any swelling or bruising to fade—and for your results to fully settle.
Come fresh-faced - If possible, arrive with clean skin and no makeup.
Skip alcohol - Hold off on wine and cocktails for 24 hours before your visit.
Avoid blood thinners - Unless medically necessary, avoid NSAIDs (like Advil, Aleve, Ibuprofen, Aspirin), fish oil, and vitamin E for 7 days beforehand, as they can increase the risk of bruising. Taking a prescription blood thinner? Let us know in advance.
Cold sore prone? - If you’ve had cold sores or herpes simplex, tell us ahead of time—we may want to prescribe an medication to prevent a recurrence. -
Stay upright - No lying down for at least 4 hours post-treatment.
Hands off - Avoid touching, massaging, or putting pressure on treated areas for 24 hours. That includes hats, face-down massages, and even facials. Gently washing your face is okay.
Pause skin treatments - Hold off on facials, microneedling, lasers, massages, waxing, or threading for 2 weeks to let everything settle in place.
Keep it clean - Wait 4 hours before applying makeup to treated areas (longer if you can!). Keep the injection sites clean for the first 24 hours.
Skip the sweat - Avoid intense workouts, heavy sweating, and saunas for 24 hours. A gentle walk is totally fine.
For any soreness - Tylenol (acetaminophen) is okay to take if you feel tender.
No alcohol or blood thinners - Avoid alcohol, NSAIDs (like Advil, Aleve), fish oil, and vitamin E for 24 hours after treatment—they can increase bruising.
