Some treatments need eight weeks. Some need one day.
The short answer: Book anything that needs multiple treatments as soon as possible (microneedling, peels and more). Schedule filler and Skinvive at least four weeks before your event, so there's time for a touch-up at two weeks if needed, and Botox at least two weeks out. Facials can be done up to a day before any event for extra glow. Botox is $13.50 a unit at Skinship, and through November 30, each skin treatment package includes 3 free add-on areas, a $600 value.
The December text we always get
It's the week before the party. The dress is picked. The nails are booked. And then it hits you: your skin is the one thing you didn't plan for.
So you text us. “Can you fit me in for Botox this week?” We love you. We'll try. But Botox takes two weeks to fully kick in for most people, so if you want it in time for the holidays, book by December 10th at the latest!
This year, let's do it the easy way. Here's the timeline we give our friends.
Your holiday skin, on a calendar.
The slow-and-steady crowd
Some treatments are overachievers. They don't do one big reveal. They build, session after session, and the payoff is skin that looks better for the whole season, not just one night.
- Chemical peels. Winter is peel season. Less sun means easier aftercare and happier skin. Are they worth it? (Spoiler: for discoloration and pigment, they're one of our favorite tools.)
- Microneedling. Texture, pores, fine lines and acne scarring, all improving gradually. Here's what each session looks like.
- Sculptra. Gradual collagen support for a subtle lift. It builds over months, which is exactly why you start now. Sculptra or filler, which makes sense for you?

Christmas is about seven weeks away. Depending on how your provider spaces your sessions, you might be partway through a series by the holidays and finishing as the new year starts. That's not a fail. Even if you don't have time to complete a full series before the holidays, you'll still get tons of benefit from one or two treatments. Plus, you'll be kicking off the new year the right way.
3 free add-on areas, a $600 value.
Book any skin treatment package (microneedling, facials, chemical peels or a combo) and every session includes a free add-on area: neck, décolletage or hands, normally $200 each. On a three-session package, that's $600 in extras.
This is the fun part

Filler and Skinvive sit right in the middle of your calendar.
Filler can come with a little swelling at first that softens over the following days. Booking four weeks out means there's time for a touch-up at your two-week mark if you need one, and you look like you, just more rested, by the time the camera comes out.
Skinvive is a skin booster for smoother, more hydrated-looking skin, without adding any volume. Think glass skin, minus the filter.
Two weeks gets filler settled. Four weeks gets it settled and leaves room for a tiny tweak, so nothing is left to chance before the big night.
The deadline everyone forgets
Botox and Dysport take about two weeks to fully kick in for most people. That's the whole reason for the deadline. At $13.50 a unit, it's also the easiest thing on this list to keep up with.
For Christmas photos, book Botox by December 10 at the latest. For New Year's Eve, aim for mid-December. Already due for your next round? Book now and be well past your two-week mark before the first party.
What we do instead of panic-booking

Event in a few days? This is facial territory. Facials can be done up to a day before any event for extra glow, which is why our Signature Facial is the one everyone books before photos. It's medical-grade with zero downtime.
- A Signature Facial for glow with zero downtime, up to the day before.
- A $50 acne injection if a cyst shows up uninvited. (They always RSVP last minute.)
- SPF every single morning. Yes, even in December.
Book a facial now and another the week of your event. Two glow-ups, no downtime, and nobody has to know why you look so rested.
Don't make the week of the party the week of your first peel or your first filler appointment. Even gentle treatments can surprise your skin the first time. Give yourself the runway.
Is it too late? Almost never. There's usually a plan B that still lands in time.
Missed a window? Come talk to us.
Come sit in our chair, tell us your dates and what's bothering you, and we'll build the calendar with you. Missed the filler or Botox cutoff? A facial can still land the day before. That's what a consultation is for.
